Where do the tropical evergreen forests grow and why?

As the very name suggests, these forests occur in the tropical regions of the earth that is the region between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. The region near the equator is the home of these forests. Northern parts of South America, the Amazon basin, Australia, equatorial Africa are also homes to the lush green trees of evergreen forests.
In India, the tropical evergreen forests are found in the states of Assam, Tamil Nadu, and in the Western Ghats and the islands of the union territory of Lakshadweep.
The reasons for the location of these forests can be attributed to the temperature and precipitation primarily.
Rainfall/ Precipitation: The areas that receive rainfall of over a hundred (200) cm of precipitation with a short dry seasonal period see the growth of tropical rainforests.
Temperature: The areas that are warm and wet owing to their position near the equator have good vegetation of tropical evergreen forests.
These conditions facilitate the growth of a variety of vegetation which includes trees, shrubs, creepers, etc.
