Hint: Sulphur compound is also known by the name sulfuryl chloride which is an inorganic compound represented by the chemical formula \[(S{{O}_{2}}C{{l}_{2}})\]. It is colorless liquid at room temperature and has a pungent odor.

Complete answer:
White phosphorus is the allotrope of phosphorus where allotrope means one or more physical forms of a chemical element which occur in the same physical state. Generally phosphorus has two main allotropes known as white and red phosphorus. White phosphorus is white waxy solid. It is very reactive in nature which makes it more stable. White phosphorus is insoluble in water, poisonous in nature and it has the property of chemiluminescence i.e. it glows in dark.
In the presence of air it catches fire that’s why it is stored in water. On heating white phosphorus represented by \[({{P}_{4}})\] at 573 K in an inert atmosphere for a number of days then it got shifted into red phosphorus.
Sulphuryl chloride \[(S{{O}_{2}}C{{l}_{2}})\] reacts with white phosphorus \[({{P}_{4}})\]to give phosphorus pentachloride represented by \[PC{{l}_{5}}\] and sulphur dioxide which further represented by \[S{{O}_{2}}\] and the reaction can be shown as:
\[10S{{O}_{2}}C{{l}_{2}}+{{P}_{4}}\to 4PC{{l}_{5}}+10S{{O}_{2}}\]

Hence from this we can say that option A is the correct answer.

Note:
Sulfuryl chloride is used as a source of chlorine. It can also be used to convert thiols or disulfides into their corresponding sulfate salts. White phosphorus also has a wide range of applications in daily life things like in matchstick, fireworks, lamps, rockets etc.
