Question & Answer

Relative density of gold is 19.3. If the density of water is 1000 kg/m3. What is the density of gold in SI units ?

Relative density = Density of Substance ÷ Density of Water

Relative density = 19.3

Density of Water = 1000 kg/m³

Density of Gold = Density of Water ×Relative density

                         = 1000 × 19.3

                         = 19300 kg/m³
