Rao Chandrasen was delegated the leader of Marwar (present-day Jodhpur territory) in the province of Rajasthan in the year 1562 AD. Chandrasen Rathore delegated himself in the capital Jodhpur and removed his senior sibling, Udai Singh, who took the assistance of Akbar and faced Chandrasen in the Conflict of Merta (1562). Chandrasen was vanquished however wouldn't have any type of collusion with the Mughal Empire. He proceeded with his battle until his demise in 1581 at pali after which Marwar submitted to Mughal rule in 1583.

Rao Chandrasen went to Sarwada, and vanquished the Mughals there and caught Sarwada and started to live in the Sharan Mountain zone there.

In the year 1580, Rao Chandrasen Rathore died at Sachiaw Village, in the Sarangi mountain region.

Maldeo Rathore who was the father of Chandrasen. He named Chandrasen as his replacement and broke the Rajput convention of primogeniture. Chandrasen followed his father's strategy and remained threatening to the decision of Muslim forces in India.

Rao Chandrasen Rathore was a contemporary of Maharana Pratap. They both were fundamentally the same in their conduct and bravery. That's the reason Rao Chandrasen Rathore is otherwise called 'Agragami of Maharana Pratap’.
