Hint Hormones are secreted and synthesized by special glands known as endocrine glands. These glands are ductless and differ from other glands present in the body. They play a vital role in the growth, development, and metabolism process of certain cells and organs in our body.
Complete Step-by-step answer:
The adrenaline hormone is secreted by the medulla of the adrenal gland. Its main function is to increase heart rate and glucose levels in the blood. This hormone is secreted mainly during an emergency situation and prepares the body either to fight that situation or run away from that particular situation. So, this hormone is known as the “Flight or Fight Response” to prepare the body for strenuous activity.
The parathyroid gland secretes a parathyroid hormone that regulates the amount of calcium in bones as well as in blood. In hyperparathyroidism, the parathyroid gland secreted more parathyroid hormone. This causes the release of more calcium into the blood from bone. As a result, the bones become weakened and lead to demineralization.
Oxytocin hormone is secreted by the posterior pituitary lobe. It assists during childbirth as well as lactation.
The thyroid hormone’s main function is to regulate the metabolic rate. When a sufficient amount of thyroid hormone is not produced by the gland it leads to a condition known as myxoedema. Myxoedema causes weakness, swelling in the body, difficulty in breathing, etc.
The hormones secreted by the adrenal glands are cortisol and aldosterone. Aldosterone hormone regulates water and salt balance in the body.

Hence the correct answer is option A.
Note: Hormones are directly secreted into the blood and are transported to different target cells, tissues, or organs through the circulation of blood.  They are very effective in less amount and have a definite function. Hyper and hypo secretion of hormones leads to several diseases.
