Hint: To solve the given equation first we will add the variable terms at the left side of the equation. Then we will shift the constant term present at the left side to the right side of the equation. Then by simplifying the obtained equation we will get the desired answer.

Complete step by step solution:
We have been given an equation $2.0x-4.8+0.5x=15.2$.
We have to find the value of unknown variable x by solving the given equation.
To solve the given equation we have to solve the algebraic operations given in the equation.
First we will add the variable terms present at the left side of the equation. Then we will get
$\begin{align}
  & \Rightarrow 2.0x-4.8+0.5x=15.2 \\
 & \Rightarrow 2.5x-4.8=15.2 \\
\end{align}$
Now, shifting the constant term to the right side of the equation we will get
$\Rightarrow 2.5x=15.2+4.8$
Now, adding the constant terms at the right side we will get
$\Rightarrow 2.5x=20$
Now, dividing the above obtained equation by $2.5$ we will get
\[\Rightarrow \dfrac{2.5x}{2.5}=\dfrac{20}{2.5}\]
Now, simplifying the above obtained equation we will get
$\Rightarrow x=8$
So, on solving the given equation we get the value of x as 8.

Note:
The point to be remembered is that when we shift the terms from right side to the left side or vice-versa the sign of the terms gets reversed. If a term has a negative sign and we shift the term from left side to the right side in the equation then at the right side the term gets the positive sign. So be careful while shifting the terms.
