Hint: Reproduction is a process by which new individual organisms are produced from their parents. The human female reproductive system consists of a pair of ovaries, a pair of oviducts, a uterus, a cervix, and a vagina that are involved in various processes such as oogenesis and ovulation.
Complete answer
Oogenesis is a process by which ova or female gamete is formed. It occurs in the outermost layers of the ovaries.
Oogenesis starts inside the fetus before birth with a germ cell called oogonium and undergoes mitosis to increase in number until the primary oocytes are developed. Primary oocytes do not divide further either they become secondary oocytes or degenerate.the secondary oocytes further divide meiotically until it gets developed into the ovum.
When a female child reaches puberty, the menstrual cycle starts.
The ovulation process is a part of the menstrual cycle where an egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube for fertilization. If the egg is fertilized then it travels to the uterus and implant to develop into a pregnancy. But if the egg left unfertilized it disintegrates and the uterine lining is shed during menstruation.
So, we can say that the significant difference between oogenesis and ovulation is that oogenesis is responsible for the formation of ova and ovulation is responsible for the release of the egg into the fallopian tube during menstruation.

Notes:
1. An egg can survive only for four to twelve hours once it has been released waiting to be fertilized.
2. compared to other cells in the body the human egg is a giant one. Its diameter is about 100 microns (millionths of a meter), or similar to that of the thickness of a strand of hair.
3. Vitrification is a technique in which the hardening of the outer layer of an egg is done like encasing them in a glass container. It doesn't involve the freezing of eggs.
