Colour blindness is a type of deficiency which is known as the colour vision deficiency. In this the ability to see a colour or to make a difference in colour is very less. It can make people weak to do different activities like selecting ripe fruit, choosing clothes and reading traffic lights.
Though these types of problems are minor and colour blind people adapt to this condition. There are also some cases where people who have total colour blindness and the condition is called achromatopsia.
There are different causes of colour blindness. An inherited person in the development of one or more of the three sets of cone cells is the most common cause of colour blindness. When these light sensitive cells are not able to work properly then it may lead to the colour blindness.
It is mainly found that colour blindness is due to inheritance. The X chromosome carries the genes and is responsible for colour blindness. Due to which male suffer from this. Males contain the single X chromosome whereas the females have two and the pattern of inheritance is called the X linked and primary affected male.
It is found that in the female functional gene one of two X chromosomes is pleasant to perform normal vision. Hence the male child is more prone from colour blindness and not the female.
Colour blindness cannot be cured but we can use contact lenses or glasses with filters which help in curing colour deficiencies.

Note: Colour blindness is a disorder which leads to problems in vision in human beings. The person has the inability to see a colour or identify the colour. It can lead to different problems in the daily activity of the affected person.
When the cone cells that are present in the eyes which are helpful for the colour identification fail to perform its duty it leads to colour blindness and sometimes damage in the nerve cells can also leads to colour blindness.
