Child labour- A curse
Child labour refers to the unfair use of children in the production of goods and services. Young children are pressurized to work for 9-12 hours for minimal wages with no job security. These children are often threatened with violence and are forced to work despite the dangers of working in large factories. In the age of playing and studying, these children are working in dark and dirty factories that cause harm to their eyes and hands. The government of India has banned child labour below the age of 16. But child labour has become a curse in developing countries as the rate of poverty and illiteracy is quite high. Child labour has become a major social issue in India, and we as humans and citizens should help in eradicating this problem. Children should be given a chance to study and achieve their dreams. Childhood is the greatest period of love as it is filled with love, innocence and affection. Child labour not only disrupts a child’s physical growth but it also affects him mentally and emotionally.
