The cardiovascular system of the body facilitates the movement of blood to different parts of the body. Blood is a red coloured fluid consisting of blood plasma, blood cells and platelets, are circulated by the pumping system of the heart. The blood carries oxygen and nutrients to different parts of the body and helps to remove the waste materials away from the tissues.
The essential parts of the cardiovascular system are the heart, the blood and the blood vessels. These parts form a pulmonary circulation which can be defined as a circulation process oxygenated blood is provided to the parts of the body and deoxygenated blood is passed to the lungs where it is again converted into oxygenated blood.
The heart pumps oxygenated blood to the body and it consists of one atrium, one ventricle and a pulmonary circulation consisting of four chambers namely, left atrium, left ventricle, right atrium and right ventricle.
The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood and passes it to the right ventricle through the pulmonary artery. The pulmonary artery carries the deoxygenated blood to the lungs for removal of carbon-di-oxide. The oxygenated blood is received by the left atrium as well as the pulmonary vein and passes through the left ventricle to reach different parts of the body.
In addition to this, the posterior and anterior vena cava enters the right atrium of the heart and flows through the right atrioventricular valve or the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. The anterior and posterior vena cava deliver the oxygen less blood to the right atrium. The deoxygenated blood or oxygen depleted blood flows from the right ventricle and is pumped through the pulmonary semilunar valve into the pulmonary artery. The pulmonary artery takes the deoxygenated blood to the lungs for removal of carbon-di-oxide.
Hence, the pulmonary arteries and the anterior or inferior vena cava carries deoxygenated blood and so, the option (E) is the correct option.

Note: The deoxygenated blood or the blood carrying carbon-di-oxide is carried by the superior and inferior vena cava through the right atrium and the pulmonary artery to the lungs where it is again converted to oxygenated blood.
