Complete answer: Bokaro Steel Plant BSP is located in the Bokaro district of Jharkhand. It is the fourth integrated public sector steel plant in India built with the help of USSR or the Soviet. In 1964 it was incorporated as a limited company and was later merged with the state-owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). However, currently, it comprises five blast furnaces with a cumulative capacity to produce 5.8 MT of liquid steel. Moreover, it is undergoing a mass modernisation drive after which the output capacity is expected to cross 10 MT. In the 1990s there was an upgrade of the plant which was done in its steel refining units and continuous casting machines. The plant has recently taken an expansion plan. This plan is along with the Korean Steel Company, Pohang Iron and Steel Company (POSCO). Initially, about 64 moujaes, which also had various other units under it, had been procured for the plant. Of the total land procured 7,765 hectares of land was used to set up the steel plant. The rest of the land was given by SAIL to the private parties. This happened without the government’s approval.

Therefore the correct answer is “B”.

Note: The capital of Jharkhand is Ranchi. This state lies in the eastern part of India. It is rich in multiple mineral resources and therefore houses many industries and factories.
