Hint:When two or more minerals combine with each other and form a stiff solid material, it is known as rock. When the metals or minerals are profitably extracted from these rocks then these rocks are considered as ores.

Complete step by step answer:
The naturally occurring rock which has valuable minerals and those valuable minerals can be extracted economically is known as ore. The ores are extracted from the earth by mining, and then the minerals are extracted by various industrial processes. Mostly metals are extracted from the ores.
Mainly ores are found in two states, in free state and combined state. When the ore contains only one type of mineral or element it is known as free state and when a mixture of elements or metals is found in the ore then it is termed as combined state. The unreactive elements like gold and platinum are present in the free state in the environment so they are easy to extract and purify also. But the reactive elements make very complex compounds and are hard to extract and purify.
The study of minerals is known as mineralogy. So according to mineralogy Argentite is a silver ore. The chemical formula for Argentite is $A{g_2}S$ . Argentite ore contains sulphur in it with the silver element. The argentite belongs to the galena group, galena is nothing but the ore of lead or we can say lead sulphide and the chemical formula of galena is $PbS$ .
So option (D) is correct.

Note:As we are talking in our whole answer about minerals, so minerals are nothing but the naturally occurring substances which can be economically extracted from the earth’s crust. Gold, silver and platinum are known as native minerals because these elements form the minerals on their own.
