Hint: Sulfur is a bright yellow crystalline substance and has an extremely bad odour. Sulfur is mainly found in hot regions like hot springs and volcanoes. Sulfur is a non-reactive element at normal temperatures. Sulfur is used for the synthesis of some important proteins as well like glutathione which acts as an antioxidant and protects our cells from getting damaged. It is also used in the making of plant chlorophyll and nodules of legumes.

If plants suffer from sulfur deficiency-
• If the young leaf is necrotic that is affected by a disease or injury, it is a symptom of sulfur deficiency.
• Prematuration, falling off leaves too early, delayed development and delayed maturation are also symptoms of sulfur deficiency.
