Hint: Alcea rosea which is otherwise known as hollyhock is used as the ornamental plant. This plant originated from the southwestern China and was imported to Europe for its splendid beauty. It is the short lived perennial crop and had a wide range of colors.

Hairs are also present in the stems to avoid the excessive loss of the water through the transpiration.
