Hint:Here from the given marked prices of two watches we will find the successive discount and find the new price of the watches. After three such discounts we get the final price and using the difference in the final price of both the watches we will get the required answer.

Complete step-by-step answer:
Here, it is given that for titan successive discount of 20%, 10% and 5% respectively
And for Ajanta successive discounts of 20%, 20% and 10% respectively
Here successive discount means that we should find the discount of first percentage in marked price and then we should find the discount using second percentage in the price which came from the application of first discount percentage similarly we should do the third discount in the price which came from the application of second discount.
For Titan watch marked price = Rs 1500,
New price after first discount =\[\dfrac{{100 - 20}}{{100}} \times 1500 = Rs.1200\],
New price after second discount =\[\dfrac{{100 - 10}}{{100}} \times 1200 = Rs.1080\],
New price after third discount =\[\dfrac{{100 - 5}}{{100}} \times 1080 = Rs.1026\].
For Ajanta watch marked price = Rs 2,000
New price after first discount = \[\dfrac{{100 - 20}}{{100}} \times 2000 = Rs.1600\]
New price after second discount = \[\dfrac{{100 - 20}}{{100}} \times 1600 = Rs.1280\]
New price after third discount = \[\dfrac{{100 - 10}}{{100}} \times 1280 = Rs.1152\]
To find the difference in their selling prices we should subtract the price of both items after the third discount.
∴ Difference in prices of both the watches \[ = 1152 - 1026 = Rs.126\]
Hence, the difference in selling prices of both the watches is Rs 126

Additional Information:Discount is a kind of reduction or deduction in the cost price of a product. It is mostly used in consumer transactions, where people are provided with discounts on various products. The discount rate is given in percentage.

Note:While finding the discount from the marked prices and other prices we use the following percentage formula, if x percentage of discount is done then the formula is\(\dfrac{{100 - x}}{{100}} \times price\) .
