Hint: Geo-stationary satellite is the satellite that revolves around the earth with the same speed, that of earth.

Complete step by step answer:
Geo-stationary satellites are man made artificial satellites which we send in space for various reasons.
Geo-stationary satellites are sent specifically to study a particular part of earth.
For example, India is sending a satellite that should always stay above India.
This is possible only if the angular velocity of the satellite is the same as that of the speed of rotation of earth about its own axis.
That is the reason, these satellites are called geo-stationary satellites as they always remain in the same place with respect to the earth.
Now if a body is dropped from such a satellite, the initial speed of the body would be the same as that of the satellite.
And since the body is in space, no external force will be applied on the body.
Therefore, the angular velocity of the body will be the same as that of the satellite, which is equal to the speed of rotation of earth.
Therefore, the body will remain in the same place with respect to earth.

So, the correct answer is “Option B”.

Note:
If the body is dropped out of the satellite with some force then things would change.
We have assumed here that; no external force is being applied on the body.
