“Let no-one steal your dreams

Let no-one tear apart

That burning of ambition

That fires the drive inside your heart.”

“Let no-one steal your dreams

Let no-one tell you that you can’t

Let no-one hold you back

Let no-one tell you that you won’t.”

“Set your sights and keep them fixed

Set your sights on high

Let no-one steal your dreams

Your only limit is the sky.”

“Let no-one steal your dreams

Follow your heart

Follow your soul

For only when you follow them

Will you feel truly whole.”

Your only limit is the sky.”

Let No One Steal Your Dreams Poem Meaning

Before explaining the poem, we can see it is a five-stanza, 20-line poem. Now, a 20-line poem is called a “Roundabout” in English. The poem speaks to never losing hope and always following what you want to become. Each stanza has a clear meaning, as discussed below.

Stanza 1:-

The poem's opening lines begin with a very positive note for the readers. Here, the speaker says not to let anyone steal your dream and not let them tear them apart. This poem talks of the current society where everyone pushes each other down even if they try hard. The speaker says not to burn down your ambition and the energy that drives your heart through it.

Stanza 2:-

Interestingly, the first line here is the same as the line in the first paragraph. The speaker says not to let anyone from society say that you cannot do it. Even if anyone says it then, the best way to overcome it is to ignore them. We can see that the speaker is motivating a third person willing to do something on his/her own. The speaker says in the third person to not hold back and never give society a chance that you cannot do it.

Society Will Always Try to Demotivate You

Stanza 3:-

The poem's third stanza says always to keep your standards and sights high. One must keep their dreams and sights high and fixed and work hard on them. Do not let anyone steal your dreams while working on them. One must not tell his secret of how and when he is working on his dreams. At the end of this paragraph, the speaker says the only limit for anyone is the sky.

Stanza 4:-

The fourth stanza of the poem says always to follow your heart. Do not let any barrier destroy your hard work and dreams. Society will always be there to downgrade you but you must always rise and reply to them with your success in silence. In the same way, the speaker says to follow your heart and soul, and when you follow them, you will feel “truly whole”.

Always Believe in Yourself

Stanza 5:-

The fifth stanza is the final stanza of the poem. Again the speaker in the final verse says always to keep your sights high and fixed. While following your dream, barriers will always come, but one must learn to overcome them. The speaker again says, “Let no one steal your dreams”, and the sky is your only limit, nothing else.
