The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made some significant changes to the JEE Main 2024 exam. These changes include a new host website address, a revised syllabus, reduced application fees, and registration options. Here's a summary of the key changes you need to be aware of:

  1. New Website Address: The official JEE Main website has been changed to jeemain.nta.ac.in. Make sure to bookmark this new address for all your exam-related information.

  1. Registration through ABC or DigiLocker: During JEE Main registration, you'll now have the option to create a Digilocker account through the NAD portal or use an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID). If you prefer not to use these options, you'll need to report early at the exam center on the exam day.


  1. Reduced Exam Cities: The number of JEE Main exam cities has been reduced to 300 in India compared to 304 last year. Check the official list to confirm your exam city.


  1. Revised Syllabus: The JEE Main 2024 syllabus has undergone some changes. Some chapters have been removed entirely, while others have had subtopics removed. Carefully review the revised syllabus to ensure you cover all the necessary topics.


  1. Reduced Application Fees: The NTA has reduced the application fees for male candidates under the General, General-EWS, and OBC NCL categories. The new application fee for these candidates is Rs 900.


Here are the steps for Registration with ABC ID or DigiLocker for JEE Main Exams 2024:

Step 1: Create a DigiLocker or ABC ID

  1. If you don't already have a DigiLocker or ABC ID, you'll need to create one.

  2. To create a DigiLocker account, visit the DigiLocker website and follow the registration process.

  3. To create an ABC ID, visit the ABC website and follow the registration process.


Step 2: Go to the JEE Main registration website

  1. Visit the official JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.ac.in

  2. Click on the "Registration" link on the homepage.


Step 3: Select the registration mode

  1. On the registration page, select the option to register through ABC or DigiLocker.


Step 4: Enter your DigiLocker or ABC ID details

  1. Enter your DigiLocker or ABC ID credentials and click on "Submit".


Step 5: Complete the registration form

  1. Fill out the online registration form with your personal, academic, and exam center details.

  2. Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature.

  3. Review your application carefully and make any necessary corrections.


Step 6: Make the application fee payment

  1. Select the appropriate payment mode and make the application fee payment.

  2. Save the payment confirmation receipt for future reference.


Step 7: Download the confirmation page

  1. Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy for future reference.
