The JEE Advanced 2021 result will feature the candidates' subject-wise marks, total marks, and ranks. Also, it should be remembered that only candidates who took both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be considered for ranking.

JEE Advanced 2021: How Rank List will be Prepared?

  • In JEE Advanced 2021, a candidate's Physics scores will be equal to the marks earned in Paper 1's physics section plus the marks earned in Paper 2's physics section. The same formula will be used to determine grades in chemistry and mathematics.

  • The sum of the marks awarded to a candidate in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in the JEE Advanced 2021 result will be the candidate's aggregate marks.

  • The aggregate marks in the entrance exam are used to create JEE Advanced rank lists.

  • If two or more candidates have the same aggregate score, the JEE advanced 2021 tie-break policy will be utilised to determine rank.

JEE Advanced 2021: Tie Breaking Policy

If two or more applicants have the same JEE Advanced score, the tie-breaking rule is as follows:

  • Candidates with a better positive score in the JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be given a higher rank. The next step will be used if the tie-breaking condition in this step fails to break the tie.

  • Candidates who scored higher in mathematics will be granted a higher JEE Advanced 2021 rank.

  • If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the higher physics score will be given the higher rank.

  • Candidates shall be assigned the same JEE Advanced rank if there is still a tie after this.
