Such candidates, however, will be required to register and pay the necessary registration fees. These candidates will also be treated differently because they will not be counted among the overall number of candidates who will qualify for JEE Main 2021.

Candidates who did not take the JEE Advanced 2020 exam last year and want to take it again this year must provide their JEE Advanced 2020 login id, JEE Advanced 2020 roll number, or JEE Advanced registration number, as well as their date of birth.

The updated information brochure released by IIT Kharagpur on September 3 stated, "As a special case for JEE advanced 2021, candidates who successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2020 but were absent in both the papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2, of JEE (Advanced) 2020 are eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2021."

“Further, these candidates would be considered in addition to and not as part of the total number of candidates who would qualify from JEE (Main) 2021 for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2021. This is a one-time measure valid only for JEE (Advanced) 2021,” the brochure further read.

Candidates can apply for JEE Advanced on the official website starting September 11. There are two papers in the JEE Advanced test. The JEE Advanced exam is three hours long in total, including both papers. Both examinations must be taken by the candidates who are appearing for the exam. Candidates are only allowed to take the exam twice a year.

Candidates who are applying for the JEE Advanced exam 2021 must provide all required documentation, which includes mark sheets from grades 10 through 12, a caste certificate, and a physical disability certificate (if mentioned).

JEE Advanced 2021 online registration will begin on September 11 (10 am) and will end on September 16 (5 pm). Applicants must follow the official website for all updates and information.

The JEE Advanced 2021 gives an opportunity to the candidates to get admissions to the premium engineering colleges in the country.
