Registration for JEE Advanced for Foreign Applicants started on September 5, 2020. For other candidates, the same will begin on September 12, 2020 (Saturday). Candidates will be able to register for JEE Advanced 2020, scheduled on September 27, through the official website of IIT JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced is a national-level engineering entrance examination that allows engineering aspirants to take admission in 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) across India. In order to appear in JEE Advanced, candidates must clear the preliminary test i.e. JEE Main. The top 2,50,000 students who qualify in the JEE Main 2020 will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2020. However, foreign candidates have an exception here; they do not have to appear for JEE Main. They can directly take admission in IITs through JEE Advanced if they fulfil the other eligibility criteria.
Indian national candidates who will clear JEE Main 2020 can appear for JEE Advanced 2020. For this, it is mandatory to complete the registration formalities on time. The registration process for foreign candidates has already started while for others, it will commence from September 12.
Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for JEE Advanced 2020:
Step 1: Visit the official website and log in by entering your credentials.
Step 2: Once you have successfully logged in, enter the required details and provide the choice of test cities.
Step 3: Upload the required documents as per the given specifications.
Step 4: Pay the JEE Advanced Registration Fee and click on submit button.
JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted on September 27, 2020. The seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs will be in charge of the exam under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2020. Candidates need to note that JEE Advanced 2020 is a Computer Based Test. The detailed eligibility criteria, application fee, COVID-related norms and other crucial information regarding the examination is available on the JEE Advanced official website. For practice, IIT aspirants can take mock tests available on the site.
As per the official website, the JEE Main 2020 results will be declared tentatively on September 11, 2020. After the announcement of the results, candidates who qualify Main can enrol for JEE Advanced by filling up the registration form. Candidates who wish to pursue B.Arch in IITs will have to appear for JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2020.
