This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is taking exam security to a whole new level. After those caffeine-fuelled study sessions, be prepared for an extra security check—even after visiting the toilets!
Not only will you be frisked and have your biometrics taken upon entry, but the same routine awaits you on your return from a Toilet break. This applies not just to you but even to exam officials, observers, and even those serving you refreshments!
The NTA wants to ensure a completely watertight exam experience, with zero chances of cheating or impersonation. "We already have strict measures in place," says NTA Director Subodh Kumar Singh, "but this takes it up a notch, guaranteeing a 100% cheat-free environment."
Not Just JEE Main: This stricter regime isn't just for you, JEE hopefuls. The NTA plans to extend this double-whammy security process to other exams in the future.
Two Sessions, Double the Chance: This year, JEE Main is a two-act play. The first session runs from January 24th to February 1st, with results announced on February 12th. Round two takes place from April 1st to 15th.
Language Choice: No more struggling with unfamiliar tongues! You can take the exam in 13 languages – English, Hindi, and a dozen Indian regional languages.
Record-Breaking Registrations: Hold onto your pencils, folks! This year, a whopping 12.3 lakh students have registered for JEE Main – the highest ever!
So, is the extra toilet check a bit much? Maybe. But with such high stakes and competition, the NTA is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a fair and secure exam experience for everyone. So, stay focused, keep calm, and remember – knowledge is the ultimate power-up, not an extra Toilet break!
