The activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai filed a PIL asking the Bombay High Court to order the entrance exam to be postponed till April 2023 and to eliminate the criteria for 75% marks for JEE-based Engineering admission at government schools.

The Bombay High Court panel stated that JEE major is held twice after hearing the arguments. Even if a student performs poorly in January, they can retake the exam in April, and the superior scores attained in each attempt will be taken into account. There is no question that the country-wide exam timetable for January and April is valid.

Future tests will also be affected if any orders are issued today to postpone the January date. The responders' ability to conduct the exam does not appear to be hindered by the unique conditions.

JEE Main's application process will close tomorrow, January 12. On jeemain.nta.nic.in, those who have not yet applied can submit their applications. The admit card for JEE Main 2023 session 1 is expected to be released by the third week of January.
