1. What are the suggested topics for practical under Home Science Syllabus?

2. How is the evaluation done under home science subject?
The home science paper consists of two exams. One is the final exam or written exam which consists of 100 marks and is completely based on theory. The other exam is an internal assessment which has two parts. One part is assessed by the subject teacher and consists of 50 marks, the other part consists of 50 marks which are awarded by an external examiner
3. What kinds of things are expected by the students during the practical examination of Home science?
Candidates will be required to perform one or more aspects of any household work like cookery or care of clothing. They may also have to practice practical assignments on any of the topics mentioned under the Assignments section above. The teacher has the freedom to assess the practical work either on the basis of continuous tests or on the basis of daily or through regular assessments.

The minimum number of assignments for each academic year is as follows:
Class X - Five practical-oriented assignments as prescribed by the teacher. They are not necessarily always related to experiments or practices, but may also be given to do research on particular household work, cookery, finance, etc.
