6 Things You Should do the Day Before the JEE Mains Exam

Well, the JEE Main exam is just around the corner following a lot of ups and downs this year and it is quite normal for the students to feel anxious. JEE Mains is one of the most crucial exams in every student’s life as it helps to determine the next four years of a student’s life and their career as well. While cracking the JEE Mains is a dream of many, it is quite okay if you hit the stress button in the eleventh hour. 


That is why we are here for you so that you can avoid unnecessary stress and troubles. Here we will tell you what are certain things which you must or must not do to avoid unnecessary circumstances prior to the JEE Mains exam. Do meditation and try to stay calm. Prepare your brain in such a way that it should be able to combat the exam day stress and anxiety efficiently. Check the following list containing six tips that you should follow on the day before your JEE Mains examination. 


1.Avoid Last-minute Study:

Do not ever start going through any new chapter or concept which you have never studied before. Instead, you can revise the old chapters and the important points that you have gathered from each and every chapter during exam preparation. Stick to basics. Take a glance through the lighter chapters such as Modern physics, Electro Dynamics, Chemical bonding, Organic chemistry, Trigonometry, etc. take a minute and glance through the formulae from all the subjects again and again. This will help you to memorise all the basic formulae before the big day.


2.It is the Right Time to Take a Break:

Taking a break is important right before the exam. Your brain needs calmness before the big storm. But that does not mean that you would end up watching movies or reading a novel because these will deviate your attention. You can refresh your mind by playing easy video games, listening to some light music, or meditating. Watching some interactive solution videos are also a good way for last-minute revision. You can also take a nap if you haven’t got any in the last few days. 


3.Eat Healthy Food:

It is really advised to eat healthy food such as protein-rich or omega 3 fatty acid-rich food to increase mental awareness. Avoid eating junk foods or fast foods but don’t gulp down a lot a night before the final exam. It might lead to various health issues. You can eat fruits, nuts, pulses etc. Eat light home-cooked meals and stay dehydrated. 


4.Sleep as Early as Possible:

Just like eating light home-cooked food, you should sleep early as well. Take power naps in the daytime if you feel tired from the hectic study schedule. If you face any problem with sleeping early due to your late-night study habits, it is alright. Just do not spend too much time watching TV or movies. It is very important to have a good night’ sleep one day before the exam. 


5.Know the Location of your Exam Centre:

Always know the exact location of your JEE Main exam centre. Otherwise, you might end up wasting a lot of time looking for the exam centre on the day of the exam. That might cause a delay in reaching and lead to a lot of trouble. So, you can visit the exam centre once a day or two days prior to the actual exam. So that you do not waste any time on the actual exam day. You must be aware of the time and distance of your journey to the exam centre beforehand.


6.Keep Important equipment/ Documents handy:

There are certain things that you need to carry to the exam centre on the day of the JEE Mains exam. Among those, a copy of your JEE Mains admit card/ hall ticket and an identification card are mandatory. Besides, you should carry a couple of pencils, erasers, Blue and Black pens to mark the OMR as well. You must also be aware of the things that are prohibited inside the examination centre such as mobile phones, calculators, or any kind of smart device.
