Algebraic Expressions

It is an expression made up of variables and constants along with algebraic operations. It talks about the following concepts:

  • Polynomials and its degree in two variables

  • Division of monomial by a monomial

  • Division of polynomial in one variable

  • Long division method for the division of a polynomial by a binomial

  • Division of polynomials using factorisation method.

The concepts are further explained in the theory part as well as the examples which a lot many students do not read. The examples however are extremely important not just for class 8 but also for higher classes.

Those explanations and answers students can always get with a single click on “The Vedantu App”. The CBSE board does not give anything beyond their books in their question paper and that is one thing students should keep in mind. The main issue which can happen with other books is that they have topics beyond NCERT which can confuse students further and are of no use.

2. Is the “Algebraic Expression “chapter important?

This chapter is so important because it has all the expressions discussed which are the base of Mathematics. These will further be needed by students in classes 9 and 10 for more complicated problem sums and equations. Get your concepts clear on them with the Vedantu’s daily practice tests with answers as it can be helpful with important questions of particular chapters.

3. Should students study online through websites like Vedantu?

Internet as we all know by now is a boon, as well as, a ban but in the contemporary world it has become a need. The only thing is that we need to use it for a beneficial purpose. 4. Is studying Maths important in Class 8?

Yes, mathematics until Class 11 is compulsory for every student. It is considered to be one of the core subjects of great value. It is the subject that deals with numbers and many more complex equations, which are necessary for analytical understanding. As said earlier it is a core subject so it needs to be sincerely studied from a young age, including in class 8.

5. How many chapters are there in Class 8 maths subjects?

There are 16 chapters in total in Class 8 maths. All are important but few hold more value as they will be carried forward to the class 10 final board exams.
