Hint: We know that the periodic table is the arrangement of elements considering the atomic number of elements. Modern periodic law states that physical and chemical properties of elements are periodic functions of atomic numbers.

Complete step by step answer:
Let’s discuss the periodic table in detail. Periodic table consists of 18 groups and 7 periods. The horizontal rows are called as periods and the vertical columns are called as groups. The periodic table is divided into four parts namely s-block, p-block, d-block and f-block.
The s-block of the periodic table consists of group 1 and 2, d-block consists of group 3 to 12, p-block consists of group 13 to 18 and f-block consists of lanthanoids and actinoids.
Now, we discuss the type of elements present in each group. The s-block consists of metal, d- block consists of transition metals, p-block consists of non-metal and metalloids and f-block consists of inner transition metals.
So, from the above information we get to know that nonmetals and metalloids are present at the extreme right of the periodic table.

Therefore, the given statement is false. So, the correct answer is B.

Note: It is important to note that the f-block of the periodic table is represented separately below the periodic table. However, based on their atomic number they should have been a part of d-block. This has been purposely done to avoid confusion. Moreover, the electronic configurations of the elements have also been taken into account while framing the periodic table. This is the reason for the separate representation of f-block below the periodic table.
