   In today’s society, one cannot turn a blind eye towards pollution. Pollution is the reckoning of today’s world and we are what has caused it to be this way. However, we have to band together to stop it. This is why the society decided to organize a ‘growing plants’ day. The eco-club of society was the organizer of this event.
   The event started with everybody gathering in the garden of the complex. When everybody was seated, the speaker came out onto the stage and introduced the special guest, Mr. Narayan who is the Environmental representative of the ward. He said a few wise words and praised the society’s efforts to encourage planting trees. Then, there were a few songs for entertainment. Then, the main event started. In this event, the eco-club showed the seated members what they could do in order to be more environmentally friendly and conscious. Everybody was highly impacted by the presentation and vowed to reduce waste on a personal level.
   At the very end, everybody was presented with a potted plant. They were given little pamphlets that told them the species of plant, and also the name was given to the plant so that it had a personal touch. The gardeners helped everybody plant their own plants into a neat design. Everybody had a lot of fun. This event reminded everyone that taking care of the environment was always fun. The day of 21st September was declared as the Growing Plants day by society.
