Hint: One of my favourite books of all time is ‘A Brief History of Time: from the Big Bang to Black Holes’. It is a popular-science book on cosmology, penned by the famous physicist Stephen William Hawking, in the year 1988.

Complete answer:
One of my favourite physicists is Stephen William Hawking, who was not just a theoretical physicist, but also a cosmologist, mathematician and an author. One of his books named ‘A Brief History of Time: from the Big Bang to Black Holes, is one among my favourites. I have been following his works from my college days, when I started learning more about Physics. His passion towards Physics as well as determination towards life has inspired me a lot.
‘A Brief History of Time: from the Big Bang to Black Holes’ is a book on cosmology, which talks about almost all the areas of study in Physics. Stephen William Hawking has written the book in simple language so that any type of reader can understand the laws of nature easily. In this book, he talks about the fate of the Universe as well as the basic concepts like time and space, which builds the foundation of the Universe. He has included cosmological phenomena such as the Big Bang and black holes, in this book. He also talks about general relativity and quantum mechanics, which describes the Universe in modern times. Towards the conclusion of the book, he searches for a unifying theory that can describe the working of the Universe. I read this book during my college days and it helped me a lot to understand the Universe in a better way. I could start thinking of the Universe from a different dimension after reading the book. I look forward to reading this book again and again because I believe that it contains the formula for the future world.
Stephen William Hawking has also inspired me through his scientific works. One of my favourite topics in Physics is the study of black holes. It was a significant breakthrough when Stephen William Hawking made a theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation. Every time I read about black holes, the concept of Hawking radiation gives me goosebumps. ‘Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays’ is another book of Stephen William Hawking, which I am looking forward to reading in the immediate future.
Stephen William Hawking’s determination towards life always motivates me to move forward. His observations and inferences on politics and religion are materials of study for the coming generations. He had not just concentrated his works to the study of cosmology but to almost all the areas of research happening in the world at that time. He talked about the future of humanity, aliens, philosophy and artificial intelligence, in his time. I still ponder upon the open question he had posed on the internet, which asks “In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?”

Note:
Some of Stephen William Hawking’s other works are listed below:
‘The Universe in a Nutshell’
‘On the Shoulders of Giants’
‘God created the Integers’
‘My Brief History’
