Mixture is of two types: Heterogeneous mixture and Homogeneous mixture. Where homogeneous mixtures are those who have the same properties and combinations throughout the mass whereas heterogeneous mixture possess different properties and compositions in various parts.
Wood has many applications in daily life i.e. all the furniture is made from wood. Now from the definition we come to know that heterogeneous mixtures are those in which atoms and compounds are in different proportions that they are not uniformly mixed and we can also say that the particles or we can say elements and compounds in a piece of wood are not mixed evenly throughout the whole. So we can keep the wood in a heterogeneous mixture.
Hence we can say that wood is a heterogeneous mixture.
