Complete answer:
The Sayyid Dynasty was actually ruled by four leaders from 1414 to 1451. The Sayyid Dynasty replaced the Tughlaq dynasty and they were succeeded by the Lodi dynasty. The word “sayyid” was derived on the basis of the belief that Sayyid’s claimed to be the descendants of the Islamic last messenger, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). They believed that they were linked to the ancestry of Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace be upon him) daughter Fatima and son-in-law and Cousin Ali. Khizr Khan Sayyid ruled this dynasty from 1414 to 1421. This dynasty was established on 28 May 1414 and ended on 19 April 1450.The other three rulers of Sayyid Dynasty were Mubarak Shah (1421-1434), Muhammad Shah (1434-1443), Ala-ud-Din Shah (1443-1451). The successor of Khizr Khan was his son Sayyid Mubarak Shah. In the coins of that reign, Mubarak Shah referred himself as Muizz-ud-din Mubarak shah. He was succeeded by his nephew, Muhammad Shah, after his death. He referred himself as Sultan Muhammad Shah. At last, Sayyid Dynasty was ruled by the son of Muhammad Shah, Sayyid Ala-ud-din Shah. He later resigned voluntarily and administered the throne of Delhi sultanate to Bahlul Khan Lodi. The fourth dynasty of Delhi Sultanate was Sayyid Dynasty which was founded by Khizr Khan. He was earlier the governor of Multan.

Hence, the correct answer is option (A).

Note:Khizr Khan Sayyid is remembered as the founder of the Sayyid Dynasty. He was known to be an accomplished controller. He was the only ruler of Sayyid Dynasty who did not take up any dignified title.
