Hint: In the sixteenth century, Meerabai was a poet and mystic. She was a devotee of Krishna. She sang songs in praise.

Complete answer:
Meerabai was born in the sixteenth century in Rajasthan. She was married to Bhojraj, the crown prince of Mewar in 1516, and died of battle wounds in 1521. In fact, her own father and father in law were killed in the war against Islamic army of Babur.
She didn’t commit sati and refused to live as a secluded widow, as required in those times. According to popular legends, her in-laws tried to execute Meerabai many times, even by poisoning her. She was not harmed in either cases and the snake became Krishna’s idol. Some stories stated Ravidas as her guru, but the accurate historical accounts aren’t available.
Much of what we can gather about her comes from the fact that she wrote poems devoted to Krishna. Like many in the Bhakti movement, she didn’t bother about caste, class, gender etc and believed in caring for the poor. She played Ektara As she sung Bhajans as a part of her devotion. The songs describe love as both pain and happiness. She wrote her songs in Rajasthani and Braj Bhasha, which were later translated into Gujarati and Hindi. After some years, she died in Dwarka, a place considered to be sacred to Lord Krishna.

Hence, the correct answer is option (B).

Note:The biographies of Meerabai are shaped by values and assumptions of tellers. There are no extensive collections of written songs. Mirabai remains a figure of inspiration from modern feminism who is both powerful and controversial.
