-There are many different characteristics which we can use to decide if a fuel is a good one or not. For example natural gas may be the best fuel for heating, but it is of no use at all when we are trying to cook or during any camping expedition in the mountainous range.
-A fuel is said to be good or desirable when it has a low ignition temperature and it also generates a good amount of heat. It should be high in its calorific value. Good fuels should be easy to store, leaving behind ash after being burnt and quickly combust. They should be inexpensive, readily available and do not emit any harmful smell while burning. Also it should be easily carried and regulated.
