The air around it contains either moisture or humidity. Compared to cold air the level of humidity is higher in hot air. When this hot air comes in contact with the cold surface during the night, the humidity condenses to form the droplets that we call dew drops.
The air temperature descends during the winter months. The window panel cover, trees, lawn etc. gets much colder. Around them, the air becomes saturated with smoke, and starts condensation. The droplets of water accumulated to such surfaces are called Dew.
