In the human brain, the cerebrum is divided into 5 lobes: frontal, parietal, occipital, temporal, insula. The forebrain or the anterior brain contains the olfactory lobes that are responsible for the sense of smell.
The occipital lobe of the cerebrum is also known as the visual area which processes the sense of light.

The cerebellum is the site of coordination of movement and balancing and helps in learning and remembering various motor skills.
- The cerebellum receives a plethora of sensory information, various environmental stimuli, and about the positions of the joints and the lengths of the muscles, as well as input from the auditory (hearing) and visual systems.
