Hint: Abundance growth of population has led to a scarcity of natural resources on earth. More population means more consumption of natural resources to lead a sustainable life.
Complete Answer: The factors that influence the population change in the world are the birth rate and death rate of the total world population. The number of births per 1000 people is referred to as the birth rate and the number of deaths per 1000 people is termed as the death rate. When the total number of deaths is more than the total number of births, it leads to a decline in population. Similarly, when the total number of births is more than the total number of deaths, it leads to the growth of population. In addition, there will be no growth in population when the death rate is equal to the birth rate.
The ratio of deaths was reducing with better medical facilities and food supplies while the rate of birth remained fairly high. The production of food has also increased rapidly with the advancement in science and technology, another factor which reduced the ratio of death in the world. With a high birth rate and low death, the world population increased rapidly.
Note: The birth rate and death rate is an important factor as it affects the balance of the population. When the balance of the population is disrupted it results in an increase and decrease in the population of the world.
