Hint: We should know about the synthetic fiber. Synthetic fibers are the type of fiber which are man-made. Synthetic fibers are made naturally and they are made only from polymers which are formed naturally and found in natural gas and petroleum.

Complete step by step answer:
First, we will understand some basic things about fiber. The polymers are classified based on the number of ways. One of the ways is the classification of polymers based on the molecular forces. The application to which a polymer is put depends largely upon its mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elasticity, toughness and many more. These properties in turn depend upon the intermolecular forces of attraction such as van der wall’s forces of attraction. Hydrogen bond and dipole-dipole interactions. So, the fiber is one of the classification of polymers based upon the molecular forces of attraction.
Now we will discuss the molecular forces of attraction in fiber. The intermolecular forces among the polymer chains are strong like hydrogen bonding or dipole-dipole interaction. The fibers have strong forces due to the strong forces they show high tensile strength and low elasticity. They are thin, long, and thread like structure and can be easily woven into fabrics. Some of the examples of fibers are Nylon and polyesters.
So, the first fully synthetic fiber was nylon.

Note:
One of the strongest synthetic fibers is Polyester fiber. Nylon was the first artificial or man –made fiber. Nylon was prepared from coal, water and air. It is exceptionally strong and highly resistant to abrasion.
