There are basically five types of vitamins namely A, B complex, C, D, E, and K with each having specific importance in conduction of various metabolic activities. One shall definitely include vitamin rich sources of vitamins in his/her diet. Vitamins can be further divided into two categories:
Water soluble vitamins: are those that are soluble in water. They need to be consumed on a regular basis as they get washed from the body with urine. It includes Vitamin A, D, E, and K.
Fat soluble vitamins: are those that are soluble in fats. they get stored in the body along with fat therefore, shall be consumed in limited amounts only. It includes Vitamin C and B complex.
