Hint: A port is a maritime facility that consists of one or more ridges where ships can dock at the port to manage cargo and passengers. Ports are often places with high concentrations of global population because they provide labor to people who can process and handle goods and provide related services for ports.

Complete Answer:Kandla Port is a port in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India, near the city of Gandhidham, and is one of the main ports on the west coast, located in the Gulf of Kutch. In the early 1950s, at the direction of the then-Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Kandla Port was officially opened. The Kandla Port Trust was founded almost 10 years later, and the primary purpose of building trust was to ensure smooth and undisturbed handling of traffic that
passes through the port on a daily basis. India's Kandla port forms an important maritime network for ships entering India through the western waters of the Arabian Sea. At the time of its inception, it resolved the shortage of sea ports in India's western waterways. At the peak of British colonization in India, it was made a major sea port for the entire western region.

Note: It must be noted that after the separation of India and Pakistan and the natural fusion of Karachi Port with Pakistan took a major initiative in the development of Kandla a Port, and as a result, immediately after the division, infrastructure development allowed Kandla Port to handle the traffic of maritime vehicles. The overuse of Mumbai Harbor also became an additional catalyst that required Kandla port to need extensive infrastructure progress.
