$1.$ This gas is used for multiple purposes which include the inert conditions to be maintained in different components and in different protective equipment that is widely used in normal life. The neon is a specific inert gas which fills equipment like voltameter, rectifiers and relays. This specific gas has the ability to carry a high level of current in the presence of a high voltage. Therefore, even though high voltage current passes through these instruments, they remain protected under the environment inside these instruments.

This is why presently neon lights are used to provide better visibility to the vehicles on road. This is why such lights are used in the airport runways so that the runway is easily visible to the pilots from before they land.
