Hint :To solve this problem, first we need to understand that what is dry ice, so dry ice is nothing, it's just the form of carbon – dioxide, actually, the solid form of carbon – dioxide. Gaseous carbon – dioxide can be easily converted into its solid form.

So to dig deep in this question, we have to acquaint ourselves with the term “sublimation”. So, it is the conversion of solid state directly into the gaseous state without passing through the liquid phase.
And the reverse procedure i.e. conversion of gaseous state back into solid state without passing through liquid state is known as de- sublimation.
So, in the manufacturing of dry ice, this process of sublimation and DE sublimation comes handy.
Gaseous carbon – dioxide converts into solid carbon – dioxide at very high pressure and very low temperature.
Hence, at the pressure of $ 5.3{\text{ atm }} $ and at the very low temperature $ ( - {56.4^O}C) $ , we can convert carbon – dioxide to its solid form without even leaving the residue as it does not enter into the liquid stage.
