Hint: To solve this question we need to know the concept of arithmetic operation. The first part of the question will be to change all the volume units into the same volume unit. The second step will be to calculate the volume for each of the juices resulting into the total volume of fruit juices or punch.

Complete step by step answer:
The question ask us to find the value of total volume of fruit juices when we are given with the volume of the cranberry juice, apple juice and orange juice which measure $4$ quarts, $3$ quarts and $2\dfrac{1}{2}$ gallons respectively. The first part of the question will be to change all the volume units into the same volume unit. As we know that the volume unit used in the problem is gallon and quarts. We will write the gallon in quarts as:
$\Rightarrow \text{1gallon = 4 quarts}$
Now we will be converting the volume of the orange juice unit from gallon to quarts. For doing this we will perform the following steps:
Since $\text{1gallon = 4 quarts}$, so $2\dfrac{1}{2}$ gallons will be $2\dfrac{1}{2}\times 4$quarts. Now we will convert the mixed fraction into improper fraction to make the calculation easier. On doing this we get:
$\Rightarrow \dfrac{2\times 2+1}{2}\times 4$ quarts
$\Rightarrow \dfrac{5}{2}\times 4$quarts
On calculating the above expression we will get:
$\Rightarrow 10$quarts
Now we see that the volume of orange juice in quarts is found.
Volume of the orange juice = $10$ quarts
Volume of the cranberry juice = $4$ quarts
Volume of the apple juice = $3$ quarts
Total volume of punch = Volume of the orange juice + Volume of the cranberry juice + Volume of the apple juice
Total volume of punch = $10$ quarts + $4$ quarts + $3$ quarts
Total volume of punch = $17$ quarts
$\therefore $ Total volume of punch is $17$ quarts for the above problem.

Note: Whenever we solve any question related to some unit, always remember to change all the different units into the same unit in the first step itself, so that the calculation becomes easier. The mixed fraction should always be changed into an improper fraction for the calculation.
