Hint: We know perimeter is defined as length of boundary of closed figure. The units of perimeter are the same as that of length, i.e. \[m,{\text{ }}cm,{\text{ }}mm,\]etc. And in the given figure all four sides are equal. We see that the given figure is a square or a rhombus.
\[Perimeter{\text{ }}of{\text{ }}square{\text{ and rhombus }} = {\text{ }}4 \times {\text{ }}side\], formula can be used here.

Complete step-by-step solution:
We can clearly see from the figure that all sides are equal. So it is either a square or a rhombus.
Given:
Side = 15 cm…… (1)
\[Perimeter{\text{ }}of{\text{ }}square{\text{ or rhombus}} = {\text{ }}4{\text{ }} \times {\text{ }}side......(2)\]
On substituting the value of (1) in (2), we get:
Perimeter = \[4 \times 15 = 60cm\]

Hence the perimeter of the given figure is 60cm.

Note:Perimeter of figures can also be calculated as sum of length of all sides.
Perimeter= sum of first side+ sum of second side + sum of third side + sum of fourth side
= \[15 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 60\].
We should never get confused between the area and the perimeter of a shape because area is defined as area enclosed in a figure and the perimeter is just the length of the outer boundary of the figure.
