There will then be four main groups of columns for each main city or port town and then at the end there will be a column for total exports and imports along with the balance of trade for each year.

We have to chalk up a blank table as stated above $5$ rows along with $6$ groups of columns with each column except the one with the balance of trade containing two columns one denoting imports and another showing exports.
The six column groups will be namely,
Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, Other, Total and Balance of trade . First five will have two columns each for imports and exports.

The balance of trade in terms of economics is the difference between the Exports and the imports in the given year. The positive balance of trade means a net exporter economy while for a negative balance of trade it means that economy is a net importer economy.
