Hint: In order to answer this question, we have to first understand the scientific method. The scientific method consists of four steps.
A) Formulation of a problem
B) Observation and experiment
C) Interpretation
D) Testing the interpretation
Complete step-by-step answer:
In the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries when religious arguments had higher value, data collection and analysis slowly started gaining its importance. At that point of time, Tycho Brahe determined the motion of stars and planets with higher precision than ever. Through his analysis he concluded that the Earth was at the center of the universe and that it is motionless.
Bache employed the scientific method by asking questions about the motion of stars and planets, determining and analyzing the data, bringing it to a conclusion and publishing his ideas.
Later on, Kepler proved Brahe’s theory wrong. Kepler stated that the sun is the center of focus and all the other planets revolve around in an elliptical orbit. An ellipse consists of two foci so he concluded that the sun is placed at one of the foci.
He employed the scientific method by using previous data by scientists like Bache, analyzing the data and formulating a theory for this data and publishing his ideas. Therefore, we understand how Bache And Kepler employ the scientific theory.
Note: It is to be noted that an ionic bond is simply attraction between two atoms whereas covalent bond is the overlapping of two orbitals of similar energies of their respective atoms. Covalent bond is stronger than an ionic bond and is harder to break.
