Hint: The Treaty of Bhairowal was signed after the Treaty of Lahore. It was signed on December 16, 1846 AD. Rani Jindan was the regent of the Sikh Empire from the period commencing from 1843 until 1846.

Complete answer: The first three successors of Ranjeet Singh were assassinated. This led Duleep Singh to come to power in September 1843 at the age of five only. Queen Jindan became Regent on the behalf of his son.
However, the Council of Regency replaced her after the Sikhs lost the First Anglo Sikhs War. The Council of Regency was under the control of a British Resident. Furthermore, she was exiled to Sheikhupura.
A deceptive British resident namely, Henry Lawrence, detained her in the Sheikhpura prison.
The toughest time for the queen of jindan was when she was separated from her nine-year-old boy. She did not see her again for thirteen and a half years.
Furthermore, she was described as the rallying point of rebellion by the new British resident. She was, thus, exiled from Punjab. Then she was taken to the Chunar Fort, 45kms from Varanasi. However, she escaped from there a year later.

Note: You must note that the queen of Jindan was described as Messalina of Punjab. Moreover, she was the youngest wife of the first Maharaja, Ranjit Singh.
