Hint: Peshwa Madhavrao was the Peshwa or the Emperor of the Maratha Kingdom. He was the brave son of Balaji Baji Rao and Gopikabai. He was born in the year 1745 on the 15th of February.
Complete answer:
The original name of Peshwa Madhavrao was Shrimant Peshwa Madhavrao Bhat I. He is known as the strongest and greatest Peshwa in the history of Maratha. It is so because when he was in power, the Maratha Empire recovered all the losses that occurred during the Battle of Panipat. He was the second son of Nanasaheb who was born in the city of Savnur. When he was born the Kingdom of Maratha was spanned up to Western, Central and North of India. He was married to Ramabai on December 9, 1758. When he was dominated at the throne of Peshwa of Maratha, the economic and military condition of the empire was very critical because of their defeat in the Battle of Panipat.
When all these problems were brought to the notice of Madhav Rao, he immediately took major steps to bring back the economy of the administration at the track. In the year 1762, Madhav Rao and his uncle Raghunathrao moved to Karnataka to conquer it. But in between, they both did not agree on a single fact, which created disputes between them because of which Raghunathrao left the army in between. So Madhavrao moved along with his army and as a result, a treaty was signed between him and Nizam of Karnataka. Peshwa Madhav Rao died in 1772 on 18th of November.
Hence, the correct answer is option (C).
Note: He was also known as Sawai Madhav Rao and Madhavrao Narayan. He was given the throne of Peshwa when he was16 years old. He was suffering from tuberculosis which slowly started deteriorating his health.
