Hint:Like light waves sound waves also get reflected back, bouncing back of sound waves from the surface of the solid or liquid upon which the sound wave is touched is called reflection of sound and this reflection of sound waves is called echo.
With the help of the above property of sound waves we will determine the uses of multiple reflections of sound waves.

Complete answer:
Let's discuss sound waves and reflection of sound.
Sound wave is a mechanical wave that results from the back and forth vibration of the particles of the medium through which the sound wave is moving. In air sound waves are considered as longitudinal waves.
When the sound waves hit a surface, the reflected wave will have a certain amount of energy absorbed, a portion of energy of loss and rest is reflected back. If the reflecting surface is in itself flexible to absorb energy will cause the reflecting surface to vibrate and produce energy.
Two practical applications of the reflection of sound waves are:
a) The working of hearing aid is based on the reflection of sound (in hearing aid the sound waves are reflected into a slimmer area so as to direct the sound to the ear).
b) The sound board is based on the reflection of sound (here, the sound waves are uniformly reflected and can be seen in the auditorium.

Note:Various other applications of reflection of sound waves are stethoscopes used by doctors to hear the heartbeat of the patient, Megaphone is a horn shaped tube used for addressing a small group of people, used by various musical instruments as well.
