Different type of pulses and their growing seasons are described as follows:
- Bengal gram is grown during the rabi season. It is sown in the months of September to November.
Further, it is harvested in the months of February, March, and April.
- Black gram is the type of Kharif crop and it is grown during the rainy season.
- Green gram is grown during the Kharif season. But in south India, it is grown as the rabi crop.
- Pigeon pea is being grown during the wide variety of seasons.
