Assertion: Sulphuric acids reacts with sodium chloride in the following ways:
$2NaCl+{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\to 2HCl+N{{a}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}$
Reason: Sulphuric acid because of its low volatility can be used to manufacture more volatile acids from their corresponding salts.
(A) Both assertion and reason are correct, and reason is the correct explanation for assertion.
(B) Both assertion and reason are correct, but Reason is not the correct explanation for the assertion.
(C) Assertion is correct, but the reason is incorrect.
(D) Both assertion and reason are incorrect.

Hint: Volatility of the sulphuric acid is explained by this reaction which is given below:
$NaCl+{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\to HCl+NaHS{{O}_{4}}$

Complete answer:
> Any liquid that can readily vaporize into gaseous form is called Volatile liquid. Volatile liquids have low boiling point. A liquid with low boiling point will boil faster than the liquid with higher boiling point.
> This is because for liquid with low boiling point very less energy is required to break the intermolecular bonds. When required energy is supplied to break the bond between the molecules, it will become free to escape into gas form. Hence liquids with low boiling point are said to be more volatile.
> Sulphuric acid has a very high boiling point which is around 356℃. Therefore, sulphuric acid is said to be low volatile or non-volatile liquid. Concentrated acid is a weak oxidizing agent. On combining with the salts like $NaCl$, it can only produce steamy fumes of Hydrogen Chloride.
> Both assertion and reason are correct. But for reason to be correct explanation for assertion, the following reaction should take place $NaCl+{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\to HCl+NaHS{{O}_{4}}$.
Instead of $NaCl+{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\to HCl+N{{a}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}$

Therefore, the correct answer is option (B) Both assertion and reason are correct, but Reason is not the correct explanation for the assertion.

Additional Information:
Uses of Sulphuric acids are given below.
- Sulphuric acid is viscous in nature. It is also soluble in water.
-It is used for the synthesis of dyes, drugs and detergents.
- It is used in wastewater processing, production of cleansing agents, paper industry, etc.
- It is used in ointments for the skin infection.
- It is also useful in the production of fertilizers.

Note:
> When dilute sulphuric acid is used instead of concentrated sulphuric acid, it will still produce nitric acid and hydrochloric acid.
> This is because nitric and hydrochloric acid are having very boiling point compared to sulphuric acid.
